Tuition Scholarship for Children
of Classified Staff

A qualified applicant for consideration must meet all the following requirements: a child of a current full-time VWU classified employee (full-time as defined by the West Virginia Board of Trustees); be a legal dependent as defined by the IRS; a student in good standing at WVU or accepted for admission to WVU. The scholarship is for undergraduate students only.

The criteria for selection of this scholarship is evidence of financial need as the primary criteria with academic performance, being the secondary criteria. Academic performance will be evaluated on grade point average, and also on ACT or SAT scores for incoming freshmen. Applicants not receiving other gift aid at least equal to tuition and fees will be given priority consideration. Scholarships will be awarded by a selection committee. To be considered, applicants must have a FAFSA form on file with the office of student financial aid.
